Miles and Pallets

Editorial Policy

The editorial policy of milesandpallets defines what the site will and will not publish. Our scope is the Asia market trade lane and the cost to move a container along it today. We do not publish content on betting, personal health, or individual financial or legal advice presented as instruction. We will not report on the private lives of individuals. We do not invent quotes or statistics. All factual claims are sourced, and we clearly separate reporting from reference material.

Reporting, found in sections like News or Chokepoints & disruption, covers current events, analysis, and market developments. Reference material, such as pages on a specific Port, Trade lane, or Carrier, provides established, factual background. These reference pages are built and maintained over time as foundational resources, distinct from time-sensitive news reporting.

When a claim cannot be independently verified, it will not be presented as fact. milesandpallets will either omit the claim or clearly state the limitations of the information, specifying the source and the reason verification was not possible. We prioritise accuracy over speed.

All images are directly relevant to the subject. We use real photographs and always provide a credit where one exists. We will never use software-generated images depicting a real person’s face. Maps and informational graphics are created for clarity and are clearly labelled as such.

Readers with questions, corrections, or suggestions regarding our editorial content are invited to write to the editors. Correspondence should be directed to the contact address provided on the site. We review all substantive feedback and will correct errors promptly and transparently.
